Family dynamics have a profound impact on our well-being - Family nurtures, sustains, and fulfills us, and yet these systems can also cause significant stressors. I collaborate with families and help them navigate conflict, develop better communication, address specific challenges, explore unhealthy coping mechanisms, reduce stress, and experience a greater authentic connection with one another!
I am most effective with families where all members are at least 18 years of age - I welcome the opportunity to work with families of all structures.

When working with families, I often draw upon the principles of Emotion-Focused Therapy to help navigate challenges and process emotions, fostering empathy and deeper emotional connection. I also view relational dynamics through an Attachment Theory lens, helping to identify patterns in how family members interact, informed by their experiences in previous relationships throughout their lives. Additionally, I use Narrative Therapy to help families reframe their shared stories and create new, empowering narratives, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address unhelpful thought patterns that may be influencing family interactions and communication.
I strive to help family members connect with one another emotionally, to help understand the dynamics that keep them in unhelpful interaction patterns, and identify the intergenerational ways they have built their family story.

My approach integrates the individual and the familial relationship, within a therapeutic and holistic environment. The focus is on helping to manage emotionally intense moments through empathy, compassion and curiosity for your family’s experiences and emotions.
My role as the therapist is to assist each client in assessing and identifying styles of communication, goals, past successes, internal strengths, and external resources, and identify how to move forward as a family through its life span.
From a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and directive approach, I’m here to help you grow deeper together or gain clarity on the directions your individual paths may be leading to.

Family therapy provides a dedicated space where each family member can receive personalized support, deepen their understanding of one another, and learn valuable communication and problem-solving skills. Therapy helps families address a variety of challenges, from generational conflicts to emotional distance, with the benefits largely depending on the family's commitment to healing and growth together.
Therapy is also very different than talking with friends/family, as I am an unbiased third party. I don’t know your friends and relatives; I don’t have preconceived ideas about what you’re like; Here, you can process life experiences with unconditional positive regard.
Together, we’ll focus on the changes you want to see within your family system, and we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable and productive for everyone involved!
